2010: Cheers to a new decade

I'm back here again, reflecting on the last moments of another year, another DECADE. Have 10 years really gone by already?!? I'm overwhelmed with how much faster time goes as we get older. No matter how much has happened in the past 10 years, reflecting on them in some ways feels like they were gone in the blink of an eye. What a crazy, amazing, eventful decade it has been. When I look back on how much my life has changed, I'm seriously in awe at how many things I've accomplished, and how many incredible people I have met along the way. In one very important way, I begin the next decade the same as the last, with Brandon by my side. We "survived" Y2K in my first college apartment, just months after meeting each other, and newly 21. Since that night 10 years ago we have lived in 3 apartments and 2 houses in 2 different states. I earned 2 degrees, worked 2 full time jobs, and started a business. We got a dog, got married, and brought 2 beautiful children into the world. Just your average 10 years right? I'm so proud of how far we've come, and look forward to all of the wonderful things yet to be.

So in these last few hours of 2009, I say good-bye to all the memories of my twenties, the hard times, the uplifting times, and to all the friendships that may have faded but will never be forgotten.

Cheers to 2010!
